Love is All Around is a feminsit publishing house that has launched a competition to attract new authors with the title "For Women By Women."

To fight this gender bias Leonard Loftus submits a novel under the pseudonym "Lulabell Latifa."

Not only does he win first prize in the guise of "Lulabell", he falls in love with Harriet the owner of the publishing compnay.

Things become more complicated with the intervention of his wayward daughter and rascally father, as Leonard hilariously attempts to maintain his "Lulabell" charade.
